Intitial Ideas

My initial ideas: music magazine.

After doing research and looking over my textual analysis i have come to the conclusion that i would like to a rock music magazine with the main genre of rock music either being Pop Rock or Screamo rock.

I would like to make my magazine similar to Kerrang and have the target audience of 17-24 as i believe it would be easier for me to relate to than any other age range. I have came up with two names either Paranoia or Infinity for may magazine and i have also decided to have the feature of my magazine on a female lead singer of an old band, but it depends on my questionnaire results when i get them back.

The colour scheme i would like to choose is black, red and gold if i choose the name Infinity or black, silver and blue for Paranoia as i feel the colours fit in with the name for example the blue with Paranoia and gold with Infinity as i feel the connote the masthead and help the reader make links with each other.

The features within the magazine i would hope to be film reviews and tour/gig information as i believe that would appeal to my target audience, i also think including free items in the magazine would also appeal very much as well for example magazine and vouchers for the reader. The vouchers would be from advertisers of the magazine, such as HMV, Grindstore, Relentless, which the target audience should use frequently so it would appeal to the to buy my magazine.
